Environmental Probing & Drilling Services Offered

Environmental Probing and Drilling gives quality and competitive services to compliment soil & groundwater investigative venues. We maintain state of the art direct push technology drill rigs to collect discrete or continuous soil samples, obtain soil vapor screening, perform in bore groundwater sampling and monitoring well placement. Our rigs provide both direct push and auger capabilities.

Our probe/drill units are designed for off road remote areas and interior building access. Dual tube sampling is available to avoid potential cross contamination. EPD has flexible payment terms to accommodate your specific project needs and also to work with multiple state reimbursement programs. EPD provides competitive quotes region-wide with quality probe/drill units managed by quality staff. Our probe/drill units are operated by staff with extensive experience in subsurface investigation and remedial activities. OSHA HAZWOPER and First Aid certifications are maintained. Project/Staff resumes, Standard Operating Procedures and Health Safety Plan are available upon request.

EPD's parent company, (Micah Group Environmental Contactors) offers environmental field services that can provide turnkey evaluations, UST removals & upgrades, remediation system installations, waste services and staff field services. By maintaining both environmental contracting and drilling professionals in-house, project objectives are achieved within required budget and time constraints.

  Environmental Drilling

EPD maintains its subsidiary, Environmental Probing & Drilling, LLC (EPD) to support consultant’s needs in soil and groundwater investigations.

Direct Push
The primary drilling service. Direct Push is the most efficient, effective, and technically accurate drilling method for many sites. One advantage of direct push technology is that soil samples can be collected at discrete depths via our Dual Tube System. This system allows cost effective sampling beneath perched water/saturated soils, sampling in collapsing soils and ensures that samples are not cross-contaminated by upper soil zones.

• Discrete Soil or Continuous Core Sampling
• Groundwater (GW) Sampling - via tooling
• Soil Gas Sampling
• Remedial Injections
• Assessment Wells 1"
• Marine Sediment Sampling
• Pre-Pack GW Monitoring Well Installation 1"&2"
• Pre-Dredging Sediment Investigations
• Utility Rock Sounding

Direct Push Activities

Hollowstem Augering – Hollowstem auguring services enhance direct push capabilities and are offered for sites where direct push cannot solely complete the scope of work.
